I'd say that Expandrive is slightly closer to being my *ideal* solution, but Insync isn't far behind. Also, more features naturally make Insync a little more complicated to use. That said, I have sometimes noticed a delay in the download of new files that I have uploaded from another PC using Insync. Insync seems to have a lot more features, especially the ability to choose where local files are synced to. However, if you are using Linux, they haven't rolled out the option to sync local copies in real time (it allegedly works on Windows and Mac). For everyday file use, it seems to work quite well. I think my issues were limited to the initial mass upload to the cloud. I stopped uploading large batches of files via Expandrive because of how it was slowing my PC. It also offers the encryption of the files of your cloud storage drives. It supports a wide range of Cloud storage such as Microsoft OneDrive, Google Drive, Amazon S3, Dropbox, FTP and WebDAV servers. They are both linked to the same cloud accounts.īoth work decently well and both have their own quirks as well. CloudMounter is another reliable paid Odrive alternative that has the same ability as ExpandDrive to mount the cloud storage just like local drives.
