![]() By producing the series in Unreal Engine 5, we’ll create a dynamic link between audiences and David Ayer’s story. Oscar-nominated visual-effects veteran Jerome Chen is working on the project as VFX supervisor and producer.Ĭhen said: “The Lollipop project will break new ground as a digital, interactive media experience. The series will be created using Epic Games’ Unreal Engine 5, and it will deliver photorealism to both the streaming series and adjacent competitive circuit. I look forward to developing plenty of twists and turns in the narrative that will translate into unique challenges in the races ahead.” Steven Ilous, founder and CEO of Feature, the mini studio behind the project said in a statement: “With Lollipop, we’re inviting audiences to engage with a story like never before, and Ayer’s deep knowledge of technology and global automotive culture makes him the perfect choice to craft an emotive, action-packed narrative in the professional racing space.”Īyer added: “We’re proud to be partnering with Feature to write and produce Lollipop, a truly first-of-its-kind media experience. Teams will need to pay close attention to adapt and survive if they want to reach the podium at the end of the season.” The storyline “will weave together gamified racing with plot events that will impact cars and conditions in the virtual race circuit. These races will take place on digital street courses in host cities that will launch in Los Angeles. “The show will feature 10 episodes and 10 races set in some of the world’s most alluring destinations, highlighting local cultures as an integral component of both the narrative and competition.” The series will invite audiences to actively participate in the project as they compete in a virtual racing circuit. This is an innovative next-generation storytelling experience that will ”combine elements of episodic streaming, gaming and professional sports.” These apps aren't cheap, and I bought the Mac version because I hoped the keyboard/mouse interactions would make things easier, but honestly, the UI is almost more frustrating than on iPad.David Ayer ( Fury, Suicide Squad) is set to write and executive produce a very interesting and cool new NFT series titled Lollipop, which is built around a virtual racing circuit. On ipad, the toggling between draw and delete modes is extremely frustrating, for example, adding a component, but then, tapping on it causes it to be deleted if you've left the delete mode enabled. The forward-delete (on a fullsized keyboard) doesn't work to delete, only the delete key. Most of the time, I'm just trying to clean things up, but this results in the digram junctions changing. Selecting a bunch of components and then dragging causes wiring to get messed up. The fields for modifying a component's properties don't appear to be linked in a focus ring, and therefore I can't tab between them. The marquee (selection) mechanism should have the option of a bounding box, the "draw a selection" behavior goes against decades of muscle memory (not to mention the polygon "winds", making a selection action that much worse). The basic functionality is there, and I really like the visualization of current flow when a circuit is completed, but all of the UI interactions feel really hard to use, a few examples: It's just like working with the real circuit. You use it as you would any CAD program: you add elements, connect them together, and set their properties.ġ5. It is the perfect companion to students, hobbyists, and engineers.ġ4. But iCircuit is unlike other CAD programs because it is always simulating.ġ3. Scope data can even be exported for offline analysis.ġ2.
